Wish List

Hi All,

I am now working on next season's designs. The staff thought I might want to allow you to submit your wish list. It will be the spring/summer collection. You can submit them via the comments. I get those forwarded to me.

Even if you don't see them in the coming season, I do keep ideas handy for future reference and save them to make a working collection. Now's your chance.

Contest begins

Hi All,

Thank you for such a sweet birthday surprise. Your birthday wishes were sweet and heartfelt. I had no clue as to what was up.

I had a lovely birthday. I did spend the followind days recouping from a loooooong show weekend and feeling like my immune system was down. The long naps and rest did my ol' body good.

I have wanted to post since returning, but the exhaustion and viruses going around got the best of me. I think that I am back on track. Just in time for our stamp run these next weekends.

I will be teaching at Stamp Garden in White Bear Lake, MN this Thursday. The St Paul Show is with Rubber Stamp and Scrapbook Expo www.rubberstampandscrapbookexpo.com Come visit and let me know you read this blog!

A while ago I gave a "head's up" regarding a card contest. Well, it is upon us and I am excited to see the results. Here's the link for details. Many may be new to card making based on sketches. The premise is that a "sketch" or layout is given and you make a card based on it. It takes some of the hard planning out and leaves you with the fun stuff of color selection, stamping, embellishing, etc. http://2sketches4you.blogspot.com Leave me a comment to let me know that you want to give it a try. The prizes are from us.

I have mentioned about putting up projects for the scrapbooking show. I am working on it and hope to post today. Stay tuned....

Happy Birthday Nami!

This is a day early, but I wanted to make sure that everyone had a chance to leave birthday wishes for Nami. Right now she is in Sandy, Utah, so she has no idea what she will have waiting for her once she gets back online.

Thanks for leaving your love and birthday wishes!

That was close!

Hi All,

We're here in Sandy, UT! We came with anticipation and excitement as we embarked on this scrapbooking adventure. What an adventure it turned out to be.

Gary, my husband, handles all the logistics of the show and scheduled our freight delivery to be first thing in the morning. In fact, the shipping company even called the yesterday, Wed, because they were ready to deliver then. Gary told them that they couldn't deliver until Thurs. He told them 9 AM. We were promptly there by 8:20. Well... 9 came and went... no delivery. He called and found out that it wasn't even scheduled to be delivered at all that day. Expectedly, he insisted the delivery be made today. There were no options. They had to call us back to locate the freight. We waited and were told that they could deliver at 11 AM. They did arrive by 11:30 AM.

Our pallets arrived a bit beat up. In fact, one was not even wrapped the way we shipped it. Translation: our pallet was in an accident and things had to be packed and stacked and wrapped again. Not a good sign. As we set up, it was becoming clear that we were missing a huge amount of inventory. Gary made the dreaded call. He asked them to check their truck and dock for our boxes. We waited and waited some more, all this while setting up. Amazingly, they located it! They would bring it out right away.

Our day took more than double the usual time, plus the heightened blood pressure and anxiety, but it all worked out in the end. What a day! The ominous start of the day continued. We trust that the rest of the weekend will not continue in that vein. We are thankful to God for taking care of it.

Tomorrow begins the long day. Get this... 9-midnight. That's crazy long! I'm not a coffee drinker, but I wonder if I should start?? ;)

The saga continues....

Will write soon.

Classes: Our fall/winter class schedule is in full swing. Our lineup of Pop-up card classes, Cool Concepts and the famous Blitz 1 and Blitz 2 classes are filling up. Check your local listing to see if one is coming to your area. If you frequent a store that offers classes, ask them to contact us to have our National Demonstrator teach there.

Shopping cart woes: This morning we walked in a found our shopping cart not working. We are aware of the problem and promptly contacted our tech support for help. They are looking into the matter. If you need something pronto, you can email us or fax us an order. Emailed orders can be followed up with a phone call with payment info. We are so sorry for the inconvenience. Believe me, it's a sore spot on our end because that's your means of ordering direct plus it is a major hassle not knowing when it will be up an running. Computers, you can live with them, you can't live without them!

We will have loads of supplies, samples and smiles. See the newest pop-up card samples. I will be personally demo-ing. This will be a marathon, because that Friday goes til midnight. I am a morning person, so you might just see a pumpkin demo-ing in her sleep;)

Studio Store: Have you even wanted to have Mimi on a T-shirt? Well, you can now. You can order DeNami Studio merchandise with the stamp designs you love. If there are more designs you want to order, let us know, we just may be able to swing that. Here's the link http://www.cafepress.com/denamistudio

Projects: I have been designing a making invitations and placecards for my in-laws' golden anniversary. Once I get a photo, I'll share it with you. It's fun to see the project from the design stage to the actual finished project. The feedback has been great.

It's been fun being in touch with the blogging card making community. There are lots of creative juices flowing out there. Thanks for also commenting on my blogs. It helps me to know that you are out there.
