Hello out there

Hello All,

I've been absent from blogging for some time. I guess mainly because the DeNami Blog has been doing such a fabulous job that now I am coasting a bit.

We are winding down our four show tour stint. We will be flying home to enjoy the Fourth of July at home and my daughter's graduation party.

Our string of shows kicked off with the first one being in West Springfield, MA, then Collinsville, IL, Orlando, FL and finally Chantilly, VA. We got to meet Ayana in Orlando. She was kind enough to help us out while coming out there. She was as sweet as can be. She did her bestest to introduce DeNami to all who came by. It was so much fun having her and having my daughter Paulina there. Paulina is the nice and sweet voice that you will most likely hear when you call in a to DeNami. She has an amazing blog here.
This is a pic of me, Ayana and Paulina.

I must say it rained a lot. Keep in mind that I am from WA. So to have a Washingtonian say it rained a lot, that says something.

We spent this last weekend in Chantilly, VA at the Great American Scrapbook Show. We had the wonderful opportunity to work with Ashley Cannon-Newell, editor and founder of Embellish Magazine. We have sponsored her mag and find it to be top notch. Check it out here.

Here is Ashley and me.

During the show I was delighted and surprised to see Eileen Hull. We first met in NY, but this show was in her backyard. She designs for Sizzix and has her own blog here.

Here is my son, Eileen and me. (Great to have seen you, Eileen!)

Our next show is in Tinley Park, IL. Hope to see some of you there!

On The Road

Hi All,

We just finished a show in Albany, NY. Though it was our first time there, we saw a lot of customers from the West Springfield, MA show. We look forward to seeing them in MA this June.

We had our two sons with us and we'll be doing a short road trip from Albany to our show in Akron, OH. We are still firming up help for Saturday in Akron, so if you would like to be considered, contact us with a little bio. We look for energetic, friendly, sales people to help with the customer sales and set-up/take down. No stamping experience necessary, just good people skills.

It was quite chilly in NY, since the grounds didn't have heat. I was bundled up and enjoyed the warm hearts of the ladies there. We had a couple of dynamic helpers named Shannon and Joey. We look forward to seeing them at a future show.

(not a great pic of me, but my helpers look fab!)

I have some great cards I made this weekend that I will prep soon. I hope you bloggers have been enjoying DeNami's dynamic blog http://denami.blogspot.com We have fun contests, features and just plain good projects. Come meet the design team and see all their creative projects. It's a real treat to see how creative they can be.

I hope you are all having a great start to your week.

Blessings,

show help

Hi All,

We are getting ready for some shows coming up after Easter. I love spring! It's nice to see the sun come out again. It's a reminder of good things to come. Easter reminds me of God's love for us. It's nice to be home during this time.

We are looking to add help for our Albany, NY show and Akron, OH shows. We also still need someone to help us set up in Allentown, PA and for take down. Let us know that you are interested.

I am working on new designs. It will cover the fall/winter seasons. Now is the time for you to give your input. We took past requests and it was born into rubber.

We did a show in Portland. I loved being able to see all you ladies that I have known for so long. We had Patsy and Sherrill help us during the show and in addition to that, Julie helped set up.
Can't believe we have known Patsy for 20 years. Yikes!

I have a fun graduation project I made in Portland. I will have to post it real soon...

We arrived in Hartford and will be setting up today! We will be premiering our fall/winter collection for the world to see. It will be fun to play with the new stamps. Come see the demo. As always, I create as I go and it's fun to see what I end up with in the end. Maybe some material for more YouTube??

Thanks for those who have posted comments regarding the video. If more of you have watched it, please let me know.

I was thinking of doing one on how to load the ATG Gun. Leave me a comment and let me know if that would interest you.

Card Design contest

Hi All,

This week 2sketches4you http://2sketches4you.blogspot.com will be featuring a card "sketch" contest. How this works is that you design a card based on the "sketch" posted. It's amazing the creativity and results of how each card designer envisions their card based on the "sketch".

By submitting your card, you will be entered to win a DeNami Design prize. Be sure to let me know in your comments that you entered. DeNami stamps are not required to enter, but I would love to see what you submit using our stamps. Good luck!

Special thanks to Kazan and Laura for their incredible blog and great work!

BTW, we will be in Denver, CO this weekend for the Stamping to See You stamp convention.

Show Tucson, AZ and Portland, OR

Hi All,

We are enjoying our double header weekend. We doubled up and are in Tucson, AZ and Portland, OR. At our Portland show, my talented daughter is debuting as a demo artist. We made her take her talent public. She has been a closet stamper for many years and now it was time to showcase her style, despite her reluctance;)

The folks at the Portland show were very welcoming and gracious, though they missed their old standby, mainly me. I know change is hard, but here's a fresh face and sheer talent at the demo station. Thank you ladies!

We have another day for lots more fun and adventure. Come visit. Bring camera, comfy shoes and an adventurous spirit, not to mention your wallet. You will come away inspired, stimulated and ready to conquer your next stamping challenge.

UPDATE: Our shopping cart is working marvelously. If you are not on the DeNami InTouch mailing list, be sure to sign up. We have a special Free Glitter coupon this time for an order of $15 or more, but you need to be on the list to get it. http://www.denamidesign.com

I will post pics of the show projects, so stay tuned.

Online Store in business again

Hi All,

Just wanted to announce that our shopping cart is up and running again. We changed servers and therefore had the down time. Thank you for your patience. We will be sending an InTouch email to give you a freebie for placing an online order. With any $15 purchase or more, you can get the DeNami Sparkletts glitter in the Extra Fine. Only those who are signed up will receive the email. If you have signed up, be sure you add us to your "favorites" so we don't get put in your Spam box.

With the change and new shopping cart, we will be putting lots of project ideas back on the site. In the meantime, I will continue to post my projects on this blog.

We have a double header this weekend with one show in Tucson, AZ for the Rubber Stamp and Scrapbooking Expo http://www.rubberstampexpo.com/tucson.html and the other one in Portland, OR for the Rubber Stamp and Paper Arts Festival http://www.heirloompro.com/shows09/shows-Portland-03-21-09.html

We look forward to meeting you all in both places. Bring a camera to take pics of the many cards there.

On the road in Indiana

Hi All,

We are on the road in Indianapolis, Indiana for a show at the fairgrounds. The ladies there were very excited and welcoming. Hello to you all!

We were delighted to see familiar faces and the excited anticipation of the DeNami fans. We did not disappoint.

We were busy up to the point that they closed. I will be posting project pics coming up when I head back. It's fun to create and my personal passion is seeing the light of inspiration spark in people's minds. I can see it in their twinkling eyes. I love what I do!

Although there is much travel right now, I want to give thanks to the Lord for strengthening us on the road and at home. We are family-owned business and do work together as a family. All who work for us have become family to us. We thank you, dear DeNami stamper, for encouraging us, blessing us, supporting us and just being our friends. You are the best.

We have just received a special customized programming for our website that will enable us to put up projects, you might see it in the coming week, so stay tuned. I will continue to post pics on the blog.

If you are in Indiana, come visit us at the show. You will be truly inspired and leave excited to create beautiful projects quickly and easily, but with the DeNami flair.

Blessings,
Nami

Be a Follower

Hi All,

If you have been reading the blog, you may have noticed a little area that says, "Followers". Well, we encourage those who read this blog to be "Followers". It's fun to see the community of readers. You can even click their blogs and follow the blogging trail. Kind of reminds me of the line from Wizard of Oz, "follow the yellow brick road, follow the yellow brick road, follow, follow, follow, follow, follow the yellow brick road..." Sooooo, follow, follow, follow, follow, follow the DeNami Blog road... I am no wizard, but hopefully you have learned a few tricks and tips along the way.

We will be a the Creating Keepsakes show in Bellevue, WA this weekend. It's on Friday and Saturday BTW. Come visit and let me know you read the blog! Who knows, you might be posted on it;) I hope to post some projects from the show soon after.

We are busily working on our new collection of designs premiering in January. You will be happy to know that some from the wish list were there. It's a fun, fun, fun collection. We are excited here at DeNami Design. Maybe we'll post a sneak peek??? We'll see...

Have a fab fall day,

Nami
