Stamp Tour- Cincinnati, OH

Hello All,

We just returned from a whirlwind show in Cincinnati, OH called the Stampaway USA show. It is a premier show with classes going on from Thursday through the weekend. There are several classes going on simultaneously, so you can literally be busy with classes all day on Friday.

I taught to a sold out class of 30 ladies. We had a ball. The class theme was Floral Folio. It featured a Folio with 4 matching cards. They all loved the projects. I was so impressed that we made it through considering we had a the whole folio, which includes the cover and inside pockets, plus the dimensional 4 cards.

So this is what happened this weekend... We flew in on Thurs and arrived Thurs evening. The next morning we began setting up our show booth around 9 AM, I left with my trusty assistant (my daughter), to set up at 10:30AM. When we go there, they were still cleaning up. so we took a food break and ate until we could set up. The class began at 11:30 AM and ended at 2PM. We then quickly got back to the set up and ended at around 5 PM. Then the evening festivities began at 8PM, for which we arrived at around 7PM and the show went until 11PM.

The next morning brought us to getting there at 8 AM for the opening at 9-5, then we tore down the booth and headed over for a post-show party at 9 PM until close to midnight. We flew back home the next day. Didn't just reading this make you tired?? Whew! We are back at the shop, but will start gearing up for the Novi, MI show.

This month is particularly busy with the premiere of our fall/winter collection and the shows. I will start planning my Christmas cards this month since I have a "free" weekend to work on it with the kids.

We met lots of excited stampers at the show and some familiar faces. The Friday night was Pajama Party night. So you will see a pic with some of us in our jammies.

We revamped our look in time for this show. Come visit us at a show so you can see our fresh look and get in on the stamping excitement.

Below are some pop-up card projects using the Pop-up Card Kits available at http://www.denamidesign.com/

Email me your pop-up card creations for a show and tell!

We have had lots of fun with the Chicks stamps, so we add more! Think Santa Chick, or Pilgrim Chicks or ski Chick.... with the fun and new yellow glitter, the chicks are hotter than ever. Pair it with the Fun Fluff for the fluffy detailing like the brim of the Santa hat or the snow. You have the makings for lots of dimensional stamping.

We have a added some more Mimi to the collection. Couple that with the new Pop-Up card kits and you have lots of fun Mimi's to wow your family and friends. The Pop-Up cards come preprinted, so all you have to do is cut and score with your Xacto knife.

We will be offering a whole new assortment for our National Class program, including 2 new Blitz classes, a Pop-up card class and a cool concepts class. Check your local store listing to see if it will be offered near you. For stores that offer stamp classes, they can get in touch with us and schedule an instructor to come and teach at their store. Just let your local store know about that.
It's great to experience a class from an official instructor.

I am teaching at select shows that we are exhibiting at. Just sign up through the link on the website http://denamidesign.com/shows.html

We will be heading out to Grapevine Texas next. I know we can expect scorching heat. I am prone to feeling cold on regular days, so let's hope I don't melt:)

Let me know you are reading my blogs. That will help keep them coming...

Puyallup, WA Stamp Show

Hello All,

We just finished a jam packed, fun-filled weekend at the Puyallup Rubber Stamp and Paper Expo. It was filled with creativity, laughter, sharing, and fun. It was a real pleasure seeing our stamping family again. Often it is a reunion for us to see our stamping friends.

As I was talking to our loyal stamper, Candi, shown in the the red below, she mentioned that she checks on our blog. So I thought I would surprise her by posting a blog and not taking months to do it. So this is for you Candi!:) Next to her is her stamping partner and mom, Carol. It is so fun to see families come together through this creative hobby. They are real sweeties.

If you would have come to this show, you would have been greeted by our booth host and customer greeter in the green apron. He was accompanied by a smaller companion, his little brother. The show was Sat and Sun. On Sat it was the younger one's birthday. A sweet lady overheard that it was his birthday and came back later that day with a jumbo muffin in a box. In the box she had written, "Happy Birthday". She knew how to make a little guy special. He was beaming. He was king for the day.

We also saw our special four amigos, Merrilee, Lynn, Pat and Nancy. They are stamping family to us. We love these dear ladies and look forward to seeing them again soon. We met them at a Portland show several years back and they became friends. It was fun chatting and stamping, stamping and chatting, and then chatting and stamping some more. The creative juices were flowing everywhere. I will post some card creations from the weekend.

This weekend was fun. What better way to spend it than with family and friends.

Next, we're off to Syracuse, NY. We've never been there. I love NY, so I'm sure Syracuse will have a charm of it's own.

Blessings to all,
Nami

Ice Cream Card

Here is a cute and cheerful card I made at a show recently. It reminds me of the warmer weather ahead. Here in Washington, we were having snow until the end of April. So much for April Showers bringing May flowers, what does April Snow bring?? Cold, no less!!
Great for birthday invites or an ice cream social. How about a themed shower? There are lots of possibilites. Pass on your favorite ideas.
