Pop ups

Hi All,

Here is a pop-up card done at a show. This first pic is of the cover of the pop up, though you could just make a card of the cover alone. I stamped the polka dot in the Brilliance Sky Blue for a tone on tone look. The medallion was stamped with the Majestic Blue Versfine pad.
By using the various cars, you can give the illusion of dimension, couple that with the pop up card kit and you have a truly card popping result. You can even add Mimi on the Scooter for an added dimesion.

Now here is a fun and girly Birthday or celebration card. The same polka dot was used with the Onyx Versafine pad. Bold and beautiful. I used the new Grosgrain ribbon in the 3/8 inch width for the bow. http://denamidesign.com/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=1319 The link is for a sampler. You get a variety of colors and the price is amazing. Check it out!

Cards- Cincinnati Show Day 1

Hi All,

We are having a great time in Loveland, CO. We experienced all kinds of weather including the heat, humidity, rain, wind and some hail. Today is the second day of the show. Come down and see us.

Here is a sweet card I did at the show. I used the caroling Mimi stamp and added the 3D Lacquer and Sparkletts glitter accents on the trim of the hats, ear muffs, hem, and scarf. It is a dimensional card with lots of bling. In the background, I stamped the Holly Vine and added the 3D Lacquer and Evergreen and Ruby Red Sparkletts glitter for rhinestone shine. The layers were with the Bronze, Gold and Red papers. This card was stamped with the Aloe Vera VersaMagic pad and accented with the 3D Lacque, Bronze and Gamma Green Sparkletts glitter for the background. I used the VersaFine Vintage Sepia for the words and doves.

Buttons

Hi All,

Since summer is not over yet, here's Mimi sunbathing with her little tropical drink. The Boutique Buttons were attached with the ATG adhesive made into glue dots. The patterned paper is part of the Paige Collection.
Here's a new chickie in his rainslicker. We also have a larger version with an open umbrella. We have a new saying you can use with it. "Heard You're Under the Weather."

Cards- Puyallup show day 4

Hi All,

We are in Syracuse, NY right now. We had a fun show. Met lots of great folks excited to see us again.

Here is a continuation of the cards made by Krista. This is the fireplace pop-up card but turned sideways to create a flower box. Use your imagination to create all kinds of backdrops for your creations.

I had a picture of the cover, but somehow it got deleted from blogspot. I am not back at the office to reload. The best part is the inside.

This is a simple card with Mimi. I like how the mini polka dot was used to make more bubbles. You can add Fun Fluff for frothey bubbles, Lacquer for shiny bubbles and glitter for the glittery bubbles.

This cute card is for you chocolate lovers. This is truly the fat-free, calorie-free version:) You can use the magenta and chocolate brown color combo to resemble raspberries and chocolate.

Card Week Day 5

Hi All,

Here is Day 5 of Card Week. Lots of cards and lots of ideas.

This card was stamped on the Bronze pearlescent card. It's similar to one I posted on a previous day this week. Just a variation of the same theme. Great if you are making a card gift set for someone. Here is the Easter chicks in a different format.

I wanted to make a birthday themed card and used the flower trifle set to create the "strings" for the balloons. You can do a thank you card by using the same flower stamps and the Mimi bouquet stamp and stamping the sentiment, "Thanks a bunch".

Here's the cover for the pop up card. I used the circle stamps to create a mod background. This card ended up being a square card.

We will be heading to Orlando and doing the show this weekend. I will have more card projects to come.

Show- Lawrenceville, GA

Hi All,

We enjoyed being with some of you in Georgia. The southern hospitality spirit is second to none. You touched our hearts and we made some fast friends. I loved seeing some familiar faces.

Since launching our new collection, I was looking forward to playing with them at the show demo. I will be posting many cards this week to showcase them. Check daily and you will have them all.

One particular one that I enjoyed creating was Mimi on a scooter. I used the cars and trucks Trifles set to create "traffic" for her. She is mounted on a pop-up card base.

All supplies available from http://www.denamidesign.com/

Here's the cover to the card. Very chic! (chick:)This is using the filigree stamps. I love the new words and circles used with the punch. Lots of gold embossing and 3D Lacquer and gold iridescent glitter.

Our stamping friend, Gail, stopped by and spent some time with us. She showed me her cute birthday card using the Bird-day chickies. Super cute! Thanks Gail!!

Our next stop is Orlando, FL. Come on by and say, "hello".

Post Thanksgiving weekend

Hi All,

Happy post Thanksgiving weekend. I hope y'all had a great time with family and friends. It went waaaay too fast. In the beginning, it was going at a relaxed pace, but toward the end it sped up. I love this time of year.

We've been having fun dreaming up card designs with the new stamps. We are actively trying to get our new shopping cart live, but it may take some time. As usual, you can always email or fax in an order. You could just take your order all the way to check out, and then email the page to office@denamidesign.com and follow up with payment info.

Below are some cards I have saved to post. With lots of dog lovers out there, I thought this one would be enjoyed. You use the Fun Fluff on the puppies for the fluffy effect. Super cute!

You can customize the Mimi stamps with photos. It makes for a funny card.

Notice the Fun Fluff on the stocking trim.

I attached the tiny bows with the ATG "glue dot". Read my ATG recommendation here on step #3 http://denami.blogspot.com/2008/11/tips.html
I used the 3D Crystal Lacquer for a shiny truck.
The card has a Vellum paper overlay. Makes a soft and dreamy looking card. I used the 1" and 1 1/8" circle punches for the front.
This is great to give to your friends. How about including a suggestion of a spa date with the card? Maybe a spa gift card? Hmmm.... who wouldn't love that! After suggesting that I might do a tutorial, I received a comment encouraging the idea. Well, I must say that I am making steps in that direction. I love demo-ing, so this would be that to a larger audience.

Stamp Tour- Cincinnati, OH

Hello All,

We just returned from a whirlwind show in Cincinnati, OH called the Stampaway USA show. It is a premier show with classes going on from Thursday through the weekend. There are several classes going on simultaneously, so you can literally be busy with classes all day on Friday.

I taught to a sold out class of 30 ladies. We had a ball. The class theme was Floral Folio. It featured a Folio with 4 matching cards. They all loved the projects. I was so impressed that we made it through considering we had a the whole folio, which includes the cover and inside pockets, plus the dimensional 4 cards.

So this is what happened this weekend... We flew in on Thurs and arrived Thurs evening. The next morning we began setting up our show booth around 9 AM, I left with my trusty assistant (my daughter), to set up at 10:30AM. When we go there, they were still cleaning up. so we took a food break and ate until we could set up. The class began at 11:30 AM and ended at 2PM. We then quickly got back to the set up and ended at around 5 PM. Then the evening festivities began at 8PM, for which we arrived at around 7PM and the show went until 11PM.

The next morning brought us to getting there at 8 AM for the opening at 9-5, then we tore down the booth and headed over for a post-show party at 9 PM until close to midnight. We flew back home the next day. Didn't just reading this make you tired?? Whew! We are back at the shop, but will start gearing up for the Novi, MI show.

This month is particularly busy with the premiere of our fall/winter collection and the shows. I will start planning my Christmas cards this month since I have a "free" weekend to work on it with the kids.

We met lots of excited stampers at the show and some familiar faces. The Friday night was Pajama Party night. So you will see a pic with some of us in our jammies.

We revamped our look in time for this show. Come visit us at a show so you can see our fresh look and get in on the stamping excitement.

Below are some pop-up card projects using the Pop-up Card Kits available at http://www.denamidesign.com/

Email me your pop-up card creations for a show and tell!

Stamping hugs and rubber wishes,

Nami

By special request, here are the pop-up card covers that go with the pop-up insides featured previously.

This one goes with the Mimi bridal card.

This is just a glitzy card, but can be used as a cover.

Here is the chickie Thanksgiving card. The chickies are dimensional and fluffy using the 3-D Crystal Lacquer and Fun Fluff.

This is a cascading card with fluffy chicks and glittery chicks. The new Yellow is used with the Quickie glue pen to give the chicks color and shimmer.

Here is a festive card with glittery chicks. The dot circle below is coupled with the Extra Large Marvy scallop circle punch. We also have a scallop circle stamp that was used on another pop-up card cover. It was also designed to be used with the Marvy scallop circle punch.

This card goes with the Mimi Slumber party pop-up card.

This is for the surfer Mimi pop-up card.

This is another cover variation for the Mimi Thanksgiving pop-up card.

This is the other Thanksgiving pop-up card variation cover.

This was a another pop-up card cover variation. Here is that scallop circle stamp with the tulip scallop stamp using the Marvy Scallop Circle punch. Cute! I dipped the whole punch in the Glue Pad and sprinkled it with the Strawberry Freeze glitter. Though you can't see it in the pic, the background was also stamped with the small dot wreath stamp using the glue pad and Blue Ice glitter.

This is the new Paige paisley paper by BellaPress made into a gift bag.

This is a cherry pocket card. Lots of layers and dimension.

Here is a cover for a pop-up card.

I made a froggy party pop-up card and this is the cover.
