Show- Colorado Springs, CO

Hello there!
We just returned from a great show in CO Springs. This was our second time there. Our first being last year. We were so happy that many came back after seeing us last year and were anticipating our participation. It was great!

We started the weekend with a class done by me and my daughter. We had a full class and had loads of fun. We laughed and created and laughed some more. It was great to see the ladies getting excited to create and enjoy stamping.

The class was held at Simple Pleasures. They will be hosting four classes on October 17 and 18th with our own instructor from Las Vegas, Wendy. http://www.simplepleasuresstamps.com/calendar/sp102008.htm

Here we are with Cathy, owner of Simple Pleasures.

There will be a pop-up card class, a cool concepts class and a Blitz 1 and Blitz 2 class. The store was beautiful and big. A great stop for stampers and scrapbookers alike.

The next day was big with all day demos and shopping. It was fun to do what we like best, meet and greet all our beautiful stamping friends. Since I am a new blogger, it was fun connecting with some blogging friends via the internet and meeting them in person. My last entry I mentioned a contest through 2 Sketches 4 You http://2sketches4you.blogspot.com/

I saw they were in CO and we connected at the show. Kazan and Laura are the hostesses of the blog. We will be sponsoring prizes Sept 29 and Oct 20, so make your DeNami purchases and enter the contest. I love seeing your creations. We are thinking of cooking up our own contest to see what we can do to inspire you. Let us know you are out there and would be interested. I am still wondering if these blogs just go to cyberspace and I am just talking to myself;)

Kazan and Laura were delighful ladies. How fun to meet creative people and talk about what we enjoy. I loved their enthusiasm. It really was such fun. "Thanks Kazan and Laura for making your way to CO Springs. Hope to see you again!"

Here's Laura, me and Kazan. They were enthusiastic about doing a contest involving the pop-up cards. Stay tuned to see what's in store...

Here are some card ideas from the show:

This is the cover for a pop-up card. Lots of glitter using the Glue Pad.

Here is the Scrapbooking/Crafting gals using the 2 tiered pop-up card.

Here is the same stamp using the 3 columns pop-up card. Amazing how just cutting them apart adds more dimension. It doesn't even look like the same card.

Here's the cover of another pop-up.

I was excited to make this card using the Fireplace pop-up card kit. Just a little imagination and you can take the fireplace card and give it a totally different purpose.

I hope you enjoy these fun inspirations. I would love to see what you come up with.

Upcoming Contest

Hello All,

We have some fun, fun, fun in store for you. DeNami Design and the blog team at 2 Sketches 4 You http://2sketches4you.blogspot.com:80/ have teamed up to offer a design contest. How it works is that a design sketch is posted and you create a card based on that sketch. The contest winner will receive a prize package from DeNami Design. Although on that website all stamp companies can be used, we would love to see what our DeNami fans can come up with. Any cards using DeNami stamp will be on our blog, cards using exclusively DeNami Stamps will be on the blog and our website. Look for the contest to start Sept 29 and another on October 20.

Laura from 2 Sketches 4 You sent the pics below using our stamps that we sent her. Look at her lovely creations.

HOT NEWS! Now on the website you can buy your favorite DeNami images on www.denamidesign.com The direct link is www.cafepress.com/denamistudio You can find Mimi on T-shirts, bags and all kinds of products to wear or give as a gift.

Technical difficulty- recently we were able to have comments on our blog, but now that feature disappeared. We are working to get it up again. Sorry! We enjoyed it while we had it :(

We are heading out to Colorado Springs this weekend for the Rubber Stamp and Scrapbook Expo. I will be personally teaching a class at Simple Pleasures in Colorado Springs, CO. Unfortunately, the class has sold out, but you can watch me demo all day at the show. http://www.rubberstampandscrapbookexpo.com/

Fall ahead

Hi All,

Just thought I would surprise you by having another blog entry and not having you wait weeks if not months. Surprised?

Summer is zipping by and August seals the last of summer for me. I am already thinking Christmas, in fact, Christmas was on the brain since May. Since premiering our fall/winter collection beginning of July and designing it previous to that, Christmas seems just around the corner. I hope to get on top of it all by designing our family Christmas card by the end of the month. Seems ambitious, but a goal to work to.

Have you thought about Christmas or the upcoming holidays yet? We have added so many fall designs that it will get you primed for the winter. Try a pop-up card. You'll be surprised how easy it is to use. The fall leaves and pumpkins will help you transition from summer to the cooler seasons.

You probably have seen pop-up card instructions and how to make one.

The big question is, "When was the last time you made a pop-up card, since you know how to make one?"

Usually the response is silence, because even though we know HOW to do it, it takes too long to make. With all the measuring, marking and cutting.

Well, with the new kits, we've taken the hard work out and left the fun stuff. The fun is the embellishing, coloring and designing. Try a variety pack and see what you can come up with. Email me your creations. Better yet, bring one when you come visit us at a show.

We are heading out to Novi, MI tomorrow. We were well received last year and are looking forward to reconnecting with y'all. There is still room in the class on the Friday. You can find the class link here http://www.heirloompro.com/shows-novi-08-16-08.html

Have a fab day!

Stamp Tour- Cincinnati, OH

Hello All,

We just returned from a whirlwind show in Cincinnati, OH called the Stampaway USA show. It is a premier show with classes going on from Thursday through the weekend. There are several classes going on simultaneously, so you can literally be busy with classes all day on Friday.

I taught to a sold out class of 30 ladies. We had a ball. The class theme was Floral Folio. It featured a Folio with 4 matching cards. They all loved the projects. I was so impressed that we made it through considering we had a the whole folio, which includes the cover and inside pockets, plus the dimensional 4 cards.

So this is what happened this weekend... We flew in on Thurs and arrived Thurs evening. The next morning we began setting up our show booth around 9 AM, I left with my trusty assistant (my daughter), to set up at 10:30AM. When we go there, they were still cleaning up. so we took a food break and ate until we could set up. The class began at 11:30 AM and ended at 2PM. We then quickly got back to the set up and ended at around 5 PM. Then the evening festivities began at 8PM, for which we arrived at around 7PM and the show went until 11PM.

The next morning brought us to getting there at 8 AM for the opening at 9-5, then we tore down the booth and headed over for a post-show party at 9 PM until close to midnight. We flew back home the next day. Didn't just reading this make you tired?? Whew! We are back at the shop, but will start gearing up for the Novi, MI show.

This month is particularly busy with the premiere of our fall/winter collection and the shows. I will start planning my Christmas cards this month since I have a "free" weekend to work on it with the kids.

We met lots of excited stampers at the show and some familiar faces. The Friday night was Pajama Party night. So you will see a pic with some of us in our jammies.

We revamped our look in time for this show. Come visit us at a show so you can see our fresh look and get in on the stamping excitement.

Below are some pop-up card projects using the Pop-up Card Kits available at http://www.denamidesign.com/

Email me your pop-up card creations for a show and tell!

Stamping hugs and rubber wishes,

Nami

By special request, here are the pop-up card covers that go with the pop-up insides featured previously.

This one goes with the Mimi bridal card.

This is just a glitzy card, but can be used as a cover.

Here is the chickie Thanksgiving card. The chickies are dimensional and fluffy using the 3-D Crystal Lacquer and Fun Fluff.

This is a cascading card with fluffy chicks and glittery chicks. The new Yellow is used with the Quickie glue pen to give the chicks color and shimmer.

Here is a festive card with glittery chicks. The dot circle below is coupled with the Extra Large Marvy scallop circle punch. We also have a scallop circle stamp that was used on another pop-up card cover. It was also designed to be used with the Marvy scallop circle punch.

This card goes with the Mimi Slumber party pop-up card.

This is for the surfer Mimi pop-up card.

This is another cover variation for the Mimi Thanksgiving pop-up card.

This is the other Thanksgiving pop-up card variation cover.

This was a another pop-up card cover variation. Here is that scallop circle stamp with the tulip scallop stamp using the Marvy Scallop Circle punch. Cute! I dipped the whole punch in the Glue Pad and sprinkled it with the Strawberry Freeze glitter. Though you can't see it in the pic, the background was also stamped with the small dot wreath stamp using the glue pad and Blue Ice glitter.

This is the new Paige paisley paper by BellaPress made into a gift bag.

This is a cherry pocket card. Lots of layers and dimension.

Here is a cover for a pop-up card.

I made a froggy party pop-up card and this is the cover.
