cards

Hi All,

I am sitting in the Phoenix Airport waiting to board. Since they have wi-fi, I thought I would post. We had a good show in Mesa this weekend and will be heading to Carson, CA for the end of the year show. Come see us. We will have the whole crew with us.

This card uses the grosgrain ribbon with ATG adhesive. I pleated the ribbon for a more formal look. It turned out great. It's a bit hard to see the pleated look in this photo.
This card uses the lamb from the farmyard petit four stamp set. I like how the picket fence adds charm to this card. You can even use the fence to make a railroad track. I guess we need a train stamp down the road. Add Fun Fluff for the fluffy texture.

Farm Pop up

Hi All,

Here is a different pop up card. It's for all you chickie lovers. I used the Fireplace Pop up card for the base. http://denamidesign.com/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=802 Here's the cover. I used the 3D Lacquer with Fun Fluff for the pom poms and cuffs of the mittens. Fuzzy and cute!

Here is an elegant card. I stamped the Starburst stamp with the Graphite Brilliance on the Silver Pearlescent paper. I then stamped the Small Dot Circle in the Glue pad and sprinkled the Silver Sparkletts. Very festive and elegant. Great for men, too!

More Pop ups

Hi All,

Here is a "sweet" card. The first pic is the cover. I used the Mini Polka Dot stamp http://denamidesign.com/cart.php?m=product_list&c=43 with the Cherry Pink Impress Pad. http://denamidesign.com/cart.php?m=product_list&c=60 I used the columns pop up card http://denamidesign.com/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=801
I used the craft knife to cut on the solid lines. I scored the dotted lines and folded in place. I then stamped my designs on a separate cardstock and colored, cut and attached it to the pop up card base. Instant gratification.

I used the Vine stamp http://denamidesign.com/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=315 and then the 3D Lacquer to make "grape" clusters. I then sprinkled with the Amethyst Sparkletts for the dimensional shine. I stamped the vine with Olympia Green Versafine pad. I also added the 3D Lacquer to the leaves with the Gamma Green Sparkletts. You can find all the Sparkletts here
http://denamidesign.com/cart.php?m=product_list&c=55

Pop ups

Hi All,

Here is a pop-up card done at a show. This first pic is of the cover of the pop up, though you could just make a card of the cover alone. I stamped the polka dot in the Brilliance Sky Blue for a tone on tone look. The medallion was stamped with the Majestic Blue Versfine pad.
By using the various cars, you can give the illusion of dimension, couple that with the pop up card kit and you have a truly card popping result. You can even add Mimi on the Scooter for an added dimesion.

Now here is a fun and girly Birthday or celebration card. The same polka dot was used with the Onyx Versafine pad. Bold and beautiful. I used the new Grosgrain ribbon in the 3/8 inch width for the bow. http://denamidesign.com/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=1319 The link is for a sampler. You get a variety of colors and the price is amazing. Check it out!

More Ribbon Cards

Hi All,

We are in Albuquerque, NM this weekend. When we arrived, we were so surprised to have snow coming down. Isn't it a dessert here?? At first I even asked my husband what that was coming down. I didn't know if it was dust or something. To my surprise he answered snow.

Now it has cleared up and we will be ready to meet our new friends here. We haven't displayed here before, so it will be new.

Here are more ribbon cards to share. I love using the ATG gun with them. That gun is a must for your toolbox. I know I have expressed that before, but it deserves repeating. Here's the link
http://denamidesign.com/cart.php?m=product_list&c=72
I used the ATG gun to create "glue dot's" to attach buttons to this card.
Here is one version of the Filigree card. I ruffled the ribbon.
Here's the second version where I "pleated" the ribbon. I added the 3D Lacquer to the Filigree and added the Silver Sparkletts. I did the same to the medallion, but added the Onyx Sparkletts. Really a regal looking card and so easy.

Ruffled Ribbon

Hi All,

Here is a card where I ruffled the ribbon. I adhered the ATG gun to the back of the ribbon and just went up and down the length of the card panel to create ruffles. No sewing and no fussing. It was so easy to do. The card below uses the Leafy Vine and 3D Lacquer sprinkled with the Amethyst and Gamma Green glitter to create dimesional leaves and dots.

Fall Cards

Hi All,

Here are some great fall cards using the same stamps. I used the Autumn Stamp Set to create a background and decorations for the Leafy Wreath stamp. The wreath is so versatile because you can decorate it with poinsettias, daisies, roses or just leave plain for all seasons. I also stamped the Steam stamp with the Spanish Moss VersaFine for a leafy green touch. It gav the feeling of the wind blowing the leaves in the background.

Other good uses for the Steam stamp is using it as steam, exhaust for a car, exhaust for a plane, waves, wind, or just a decorative background. You can stamp in a pad or in a glue pad and add glitter.

I enjoyed making this card. I stamped in VersaFine Vintage Sepia and colored them in. I then punched them in a one inch circle punch and added the stitches around the design. I added 3D Crystal Lacquer for a dimensional shine. I also enjoyed using our new Grosgrain ribbon. I used the ATG Gun and wrapped it around a card strip. I then made a bow with the ribbon and made a glue dot with the ATG Gun. The ribbon is silky and thin enough to make a nice looking bow. Some grosgrains I have used in the past have been too thick for card/bow making. We have some great classic colors for all kinds of card making. Check out the website for selection. They come in 3/8 and 5/8 inch thicknesses. We have samplers and spools will be available soon. The colors are white, black, brown, light pink, bright pink, red, green, lime, baby blue and cream.

I will be posting a ruffled ribbon card tomorrow. Stay tuned...

Cards

Hi All,

You haven't heard from me for a while. We have been busy with our next season's images. There will be a whopping 60+ new ones coming. We will also have over 20 new accessories. Though I can't let the cat out of the bag, I can say that they are worth waiting for. Who knows... you might get a sneak peek;)

Amidst the designing, we continue to display at the various shows around the country, so I really haven't stayed put. We have enjoyed talking with our wonderful stampers and have met new ones. Thanks to all of you for welcoming us and encouraging us to return to your home towns.

We are heading to Albuquerque, NM. We are always on the lookout for excellent sales workers. If you have a dynamic personality, love our products, love people and are a natural sales person, please let us know you are interested in being contacted in the future for show help. You'll get a behind-the-scenes look at how it gets prepped up and set up for the shows.

Here are some cards I have made at some of the shows. The first two are variations of the same theme. I made the second card after the first one sold out of one of the stamps. You've got to improvise at times...

Here is the Vine stamp used in this card. It was used above, but when you change the colors, it looks so different. The colors are greens and silver. A twist to the fall colors.

I have more to post tomorrow. Check back with me.

Update from DeNami

Hello friends!

I know that it has been quite a while since Nami has posted to the blog. Believe me, she would love to do it daily! However, since there are 8 back-to-back shows, it's just not possible for her to update as often as she would like. Also, in between the crazy show schedule, Nami has been busily designing for the new Spring/ Summer 2010 collection. Ladies, let me tell ya, you are going to LOVE it! Can't spill any news yet....but once it comes closer to the time, we'll definitely be doing sneak peeks and also some fun giveaways. Be sure to stay tuned!

In closing, we want to thank you all for your continued support, love and also the sweet words you send to us via email, blog comments or even at the shows. We have some of the best "fans" in the world- without wonderful supporters like you, this job just wouldn't be the same.

Much Love,
Paulina

P.S. We have been actively updating our Facebook page more often. There are card ideas and we also post questions asking your thoughts on different aspects of DeNami. Be sure to join in on this fun here.

Card and Tag- Loveland Show Day 8

Hi All,

Here's a fun thing to do with the circle punch. You can create matching gift tags by just punching a tiny hole at the top and threading it with a narrow ribbon or metallic elastic. You can also use the punch outs for a topper on a canning jar.

Here is another filigree card with the Bronze and Jade color combo.

Cards- Loveland Show Day 7

Hi All,

We are in Greenville, SC this weekend. Drop by if you can.

I stamped these two with the daisies. If you look closely, you can see the Starlett stamp stamped with the Glue pad and sprinkled with glitter between the mini polka dot.
This mini daisy is from the Rosevine Petit Fours collection stamped in the Versa Fine Vintage Sepia and colored with markers. The mini polka dot was in the Sea Breeze Versa Magic.

I used the double line square to "outline" the scalloped punch out. I then traced the line with the Quickie glue pen and sprinkled the Magenta Sparkletts glitter.

Cards- Loveland Show Day 6

Hi All,

Here are some filigree cards. They are variations of ones I have done before. By changing up the colors, you can create a different look. I stamped the background here in the Vintage Sepia Versa Fine and used the 3D Lacquer with the Bronze Sparkletts glitter. I added touches of the lacquer with the Misty Blue Sparkletts on the large filigree punch out.
I stamped the Med Filigree in the Olympia Green Versa Fine for a nice neutral green color. The band was layered in the Marcasite paper, Pearl and Hunter Green.

Gift Packs 2

Hi All,

Here's part two of the gift pack. This is for you doggie lovers. This is the other gift bag template.
I stamped the mini polka dot for the background on both. I love the dots on the projects. It makes it whimsical.
