Cards Tucson and Portland show day 6

Hi All,
Here is a fun card using the Rosevine petit fours stamp set. I stamped the daisy in a circle with the VersaFine Vintage Sepia and then stamped the leafy stamp in the VersaFine Spanish Moss. I colored in with Tombow markers and added the dot border for a point of interest. The wreath can be made any size. By changing the color you can coordinate with the seasons. My daughter made this froggy pop up card. It has the 3D Lacquer on the frogs.

Cards Tucson and Portland show day 5

Hi All,
Here are some fun pop ups made at both shows. I made this one going vertically instead of the horizontal layout. I cutout the party hats from the party petit fours set to create a festive look. It also adds color to the card. Here my daughter made this with the egg trifles and Easter petit fours sets.

Cards Tucson and Portland show day 4

Hi All,

Here is a continuation of my daughter's cards. The first one is the cover of the pop up card. Here is the inside. She used the bouquet that is from the wedding petit fours set. I use that set for all kinds of purposes beyond wedding. It has a bouquet, dove, ring and tiered cake. I use the bouquet for the circle stamps and backgrounds, the dove for Christmas and the mailboxes and trees, the ring for girlfriend cards and bridal showers and the tiered cake for birthdays. A great set to have.
This is a card Rebeka, our National Instructor made as a birth announcement. The Fun Fluff is perfect for the lamb.

Cards Tucson and Portland Show day 3

Hi All,

Here is another card made by my demo daughter. A fun variation for the "fireplace" pop up card template. This card was made by Rebeka, our National instructor. I love the cherries on the sleeper. She did freehand them. She is quite an artist herself. Cute, cute, cute.

Cards Show Tucson and Portland day 2

Hi All,
Below is a baby card made by our National Instructor, Rebeka. Fun colors and patterns. Here is a gift box using the template. I put the handle on top instead of on the side for a fun variation. Great for a treat or favor.

Cards Glendale Show day 7

Hi All,
Here is a fun and easy card with the little shopping chick. After stamping and punching out the cutout, I added Fun Fluff with the 3D Lacquer for the fluffy look. I used the 3D Lacquer on the turtle for a shiny touch. The little polka dot stamp was stamped with the Brilliance Lime pad.

Here's a variation on the Ladybug card I did yesterday. Lots of fun dots. I used the 3D Lacquer on the ladybug cutout for a shiny touch.

Lots of fun dots on this card. I used the Versa Fine Black Onyx with the Impress Cherry Pink pad. This Cherry pink pad has been discontinued by the manufacturer. It matches our Magenta cardstock perfectly. Order on http://www.denamidesign.com/

Cards Glendale Show day 6

Hi All,

This card is using the new pearlescent paper stamped with the dot circle and glue pad. This dangly scallop cutout makes a cute accent for the card. This is a fun cheeful card. I stamped the circle stamps directly on the card with the Versa Fine Onyx Black. I then used the small dot stamp with the Onyx Black around the circle stamps to create the ladybug card background.

Show Tucson, AZ and Portland, OR

Hi All,

We are enjoying our double header weekend. We doubled up and are in Tucson, AZ and Portland, OR. At our Portland show, my talented daughter is debuting as a demo artist. We made her take her talent public. She has been a closet stamper for many years and now it was time to showcase her style, despite her reluctance;)

The folks at the Portland show were very welcoming and gracious, though they missed their old standby, mainly me. I know change is hard, but here's a fresh face and sheer talent at the demo station. Thank you ladies!

We have another day for lots more fun and adventure. Come visit. Bring camera, comfy shoes and an adventurous spirit, not to mention your wallet. You will come away inspired, stimulated and ready to conquer your next stamping challenge.

UPDATE: Our shopping cart is working marvelously. If you are not on the DeNami InTouch mailing list, be sure to sign up. We have a special Free Glitter coupon this time for an order of $15 or more, but you need to be on the list to get it. http://www.denamidesign.com

I will post pics of the show projects, so stay tuned.

Cards Glendale Show day 5

Hi All,

This cute bag is using the gift bag template with a matching gift tag. Great for a party favor or a little gift. This card is stunning in color with the red, black and white contrast. The red glitter really sparkles and stands out. I stamped the small filigree in the Versa Magic White.

This card is great for that man in your life, young or old. I used the 3D Lacquer for the glossy, dimensional look.

Cards Glendale Show day 4

Hi All,
Here are some Easter and spring cards you can do. I stamped the polka dots in the Versa Magic Sea Breeze. I also stamped the polka dots in the Versa Magic in Aloe Vera on the green Coordinates paper. I stamped the dot circle in the Sea Breeze and used the 1.5 inch scallop circle punch. I then stamped the one inch polka dot in the Aloe Vera, stamped the eggs in the Versa Fine Vintage Sepia, colored them in Tombow markers and punched it out with a one inch punch and mounted it on foam tape, dipped it on the Glue pad and then dipped it in the Lime Sherbet Sparkletts glitter. I then mounted it onto the scallop cutout.

I used the ATG adhesive gun to create a "rope" and attached the Shredds and stuck it behind the circle scallop cutouts. I used the mounting tape to attach to the card. This is the cover for the pop up card.
This is the pop up tiered card turned upside down. A great alternative variation for the pop up cards. Just used your imagination!

I love this cheery card. Lots of dots and bright and fruity touches. I did the same treatment to the scallop cutouts as the egg one above.

Cards Glendale Show day 3

Hi All,

Here are variations on cards I showcased before. Below on the pop up cards, I did a slightly different layout. I used the ATG adhesive to roll a "rope" to stick the Shredds to.
I embossed the Large Filigree in gold for a very elegant look.

Hi All,

Just wanted to announce that our shopping cart is up and running again. We changed servers and therefore had the down time. Thank you for your patience. We will be sending an InTouch email to give you a freebie for placing an online order. With any $15 purchase or more, you can get the DeNami Sparkletts glitter in the Extra Fine. Only those who are signed up will receive the email. If you have signed up, be sure you add us to your "favorites" so we don't get put in your Spam box.

With the change and new shopping cart, we will be putting lots of project ideas back on the site. In the meantime, I will continue to post my projects on this blog.

We have a double header this weekend with one show in Tucson, AZ for the Rubber Stamp and Scrapbooking Expo http://www.rubberstampexpo.com/tucson.html and the other one in Portland, OR for the Rubber Stamp and Paper Arts Festival http://www.heirloompro.com/shows09/shows-Portland-03-21-09.html

We look forward to meeting you all in both places. Bring a camera to take pics of the many cards there.

Cards Glendale Show day 2

Hi All,

Here's day 2 of the Glendale Show cards. I did this pop up card using the fireplace design. It turned out so cute and dimensional. I stamped the sleepers in the VersaFine Onyx Black, colored them in with Tombow markers and added the 3D Lacquer and sprinkled them with the Fun Fluff. The Fun Fluff made the sleepers fuzzy and soft. A cute effect. The polka dot background was stamped with the VersaMagic Aloe Vera. I didn't make a cover for this one since I was demo-ing other cards right after this. Here is a simple wedding card. I used the circle stamps and Marvy punches to create this cute card. I stamped the same polka dot with the VersaMagic in Aloe Vera for the tone on tone look on our Coordinates paper. The color match is great. I did the "charms" on the ribbon with the larger dot stamp four times with the same VersaMagic and VersaFine in Vintage Sepia. Once I colored them in, I applied the ATG adhesive on the back and stuck them to my fingers while I dipped them in glitter. I then sandwiched them between the ribbon strands and created the "charms". I did used the 1 inch circle punch for them.
Here's another polkd dot stamp with the lilies stamped on them. I also stamped the new mini dot in the Versa Magic Sea breeze for the background. The dot circle (wreath) was stamped with the Glue Pad.

Cards Glendale Show day 1

Hi All,

We left the snowy, cold and wet of Seattle to the warmth of Glendale, AZ. The weather was like a perfect summer day in Seattle. What a nice treat to warm our bones a bit.

We were welcomed by kind stampers in AZ. Many remembered us from last year and we met new folks.
Here are some cards I made at the show.

I did a fun variation and instead of a horizontal card, I made it a vertical. It worked great with these long flowers. It makes for a fun surprise when you open it up.

I used the Bronze Sparkletts glitter to create a dimensional glittery look. I also used the Jade and Chocolate Brown Brilliance pads on these corresponding pearlescent papers. All supplies available from http://www.denamidesign.com We are still trying to switch over to the new servers, but the shopping cart will be up soon. Yay!

Come back tomorrow for more cards.

Cards Indianapolis Show day 5

Hi All,
Here is a unique card using the Filigree stamps. I stamped the Large Filigree with the VersaFine Onyx Black and filled in with the 3D lacquer and the new Red Sparkletts glitter. It is a sparkly card and great for guy and gal card giving.

I loved this cherry card. Very fun and cheery. I used the Cherry pink Impress pad. Order yours today because the manufacterer discontinued this color. It's perfect for the tone on tone with our Magenta cardstock. I used the circle stamps and 3D lacquer for the shiny cherries. The circle stamps can be used to make a coordinating gift tag to match this card. Versatile and functional. We are making some more word stamps. Watch for "Thank You" and "Thinking of You". You can check back with us soon because they are about to come off the press.

We will be in Glendale, AZ this weekend.

Cards Indianapolis Show day 3

Hi All,
This is day 3 in the follow up for the Indianapolis show. Below I have some fun cards for the warmer weather coming up.
I stamped these flowers on the new scallop polka dot stamp. After stamping the flowers over the background in VersaFine Vintage Sepia and coloring it in with Tombow markers, I re-inked the background stamp with the Glue Pad and sprinkled the Blue Ice Sparkletts glitter. Simple card, but cheerful. It's stamped on the White cardstock. All supplies available at http://www.denamidesign.com/ except the markers.
I made a pop up card with monkeys before, but I never do it exactly the same. Here is a version of it. I used the 3D lacquer on the bunch of bananas on the cover.

Cards Indianapolis Show day 1

Hi All,

We enjoyed a fantabulous show in Indiana. We saw beloved vendor friends and stamping friends. It's always a reunion.
Our boys have a special pen pal they call Mr. Bill. His name is Bill Gaglione of Stampland http://www.stamplandchicago.com/index2.html . He is a renowned mail artist. The boys send their greetings and Bill responds back with treats, letters and greetings. Below is a pic of their cards to him. They were so sweet, I had to share. Bill is pictured with the cards.

I experimented with more designs for the pop up cards. I like how this turned out. It's so spring-y. I used the 3D lacquer and Lime Sherbet Sparkletts glitter for the dimensional sparkle.
